Dynamic promotional DVD featuring interviews with successful young science & technology (S&T) entrepreneurs and researchers in the Algoma District. In addition, support organizations and programs will be highlighted to demonstrate the opportunities available to youth.
Direct outreach to classrooms within the Algoma District to make presentations to youth. These presentations will involve a DVD presentation, PowerPoint presentation, and provide an overview of program and services available to young entrepreneurs in Northern Ontario.
Classroom Presentations will include:
Dialogue with students to encourage speaking freely about their experiences with technology
Information of market trends for the Information Technology (IT) sector
Presentation of DVD
PowerPoint presentation to explain entrepreneurship as a career choice
Outlining typical careers in IT (includes entrepreneurship)
Outlining local grant and loan opportunities for youth interested in entrepreneurship
