Demographic Mapping of Brampton and Mississauga (2010)

2010

Client: Algoma University

Algoma University was interested in ascertaining demographic information through mapping to help determine where a proper extended campus location should be located within the City of Brampton and to provide insight as to where future marketing initiatives should be directed.  Census Tract (CT) level maps were generated for the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga, illustrating small age groups and sex, recent immigrants, ethnic origin, and education level.  Particular attention was given to education topics, including number of persons who attended college or university and number of persons who studied either in Canada or abroad.  All demographic statistics were compiled into a single MS Access database and passed over to the university to aid in decision making purposes.
