The Community Geomatics Centre (CGC) is pleased to have recently been accepted to develop a data management system to support data driven decision making for the Timiskaming Best Start Network (TBSN).  The project will address a major strategic priority goal identified in the TBSN’s Accountability Framework; to develop capacity to collect, maintain, analyze and share data to make evidence based decisions.  The CGC will be assisting the TBSN in developing and maintaining a data index catalogue and data sharing agreements, working with local staff to develop a system of data collection and sharing, analysis and report production to meet the needs of the TBSN, creating and enhancing data collection/analysis on Francophone, Aboriginal and Rural/Remote communities, and assisting in developing capacity within the district to maintain the data management system.  This project will be ongoing over the next year and is set to be complete in June 2013.
