The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre's Innovation Awards recognize individuals and organizations whose ideas, leadership, and innovation are creating meaningful impact within our communities.
Nominations are open July 9 - September 25, 2026.
Only for individuals or organizations who have been notified by SSMIC that their nomination has advanced to the next stage.
About the Awards
The Innovation Awards celebrate excellence in innovation, leadership, and impact. By recognizing achievements across industries and communities, the awards inspire continued growth, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions throughout the Algoma-Manitoulin region.
Innovation Awards 2026 recognizes:
- Top 10 Individual Innovators
- Top 3 Innovative Companies or Organizations
Who Can Be Nominated?
Individuals or organizations that have demonstrated innovation within the past 2-3 years in the Algoma-Manitoulin region.
Innovation may include but not limited to:
- New technologies
- Improved business or operational processes
- Creative problem-solving
- New products or services
- Transformative organizational practices
- Other initiatives that have created measurable impact
